The Demi Bob

Vogue magazine declares the hair must have for spring-summer 2011 " The Demi-Bob". This cut can range anywhere from the mid-neck  to the collar bone in length. The cut has picked up momentum since models such as Arizona Muse and Alexis Chung sported the style in spring-summer campaigns for YSL and Prada.

Drew ditches the Ombre look

Drew finally got bored of the grown-out ombre look, and dyed her hair to an Auburn ginger color.  It looks fantastic with her pale skin and green eyes.

X-Tenso® Moisturist™

If you spend hours every morning blow-drying and taming your rebellious, curly, wavy, or frizzy hair, the new Straighter from L'Oreal Professional is what you have been waiting for.
X-Tenso® Moisturist™ transforms rebellious, curly, wavy, or frizzy hair to smooth, beautifully silky and shiny hair. Moisturist is designed to give a "natural-looking" finish. Whats so amazing about this straighter is that  you can choose how smooth you want to go.
During your consultation, we establish what kind of finish you desire. With Moisturist™ you have 3 options. You can either use it to relax the curls, give it a 'brazilian blow-out finish, or to make it poker straight.

On this client we used X-Tenso® Moisturist™, and ironed fine sections of her hair. The final result was simply air dried without a brush or flat iron. The result was amazing and the hair was left smooth and soft in comparison to other straighteners on the market.

Hair accessories

The catwalks displayed 3 strong trends in hair accessories from spring through to winter for 2011.  The simplest hairdo can be made to look elegant and sophisticated with a good hair accessory, and with the right hair accessories you can make a fabulous fashion statement, whether its your wedding day or a girls night out on the town.

Flowers

With the first flowers of spring in full bloom the fashion shows were dominated by hair accessories with flowers in all colors, shapes, textures and sizes. Floral hair accessories are very feminine and are also a great way to have fun with your hair. Fresh flowers are also an option, however they are less durable.

 Glamorous

Something sparkly can never go wrong when it comes to a more formal occasions don't hesitate to turn your attention towards stylish hair accessories which oozes glam. The lovely vintage accessories, whether  adorned with swarovski crystals, or a simple antique gold finish can make all the difference, and enhance the beauty of your hair without making your hairstyle look too “heavy”. One of my favorite hair accessories designers' is Keren Wolf. She is Located in Neve Tsedek in Tel Aviv and has an amazing selection of hand made pieces.

 Feathers

Also if you're looking for a more formal hair accessory but you're just not into that glam-sparkling hair accessories you can direct your attention towards feathers . Headbands and hair clips which feature these details look amazing and they come in an array of colors and shades. If you are feeling creative and want something unique, Nachlat Binyamin in south Tel Aviv has a selection of stores that sell the most exquisite feathers. This look is very 20's chic, with inspiration from flapper girls.

Rinse your mane in the rain

Ladies get your buckets out and start collecting the rain ! Rain water has no harsh chemicals in it like chlorine, or minerals that can make hair dull. Wash your hair using your regular shampoos and masks, and complete the regime by rinsing your tresses with a good helping of rain water. It will make it feel soft, smooth, and silky.

May 2011 Covers

Kate Moss graces the covers  of a couple of magazines this coming month. Most Importantly is the Japanese Edition of Vogue. With the situation in Japan so fragile, it made the appearance on the cover all the more special for her.
The pictorials inside are deep with Kate appearing in what looks like a dingy basement shoot meets the ballerina trend that is so popular right now. Kate is gorgeous as always with slicked back, pin straight hair.

Harpers Bazaar UK has Kate on not only 1 but 2 covers for their special Alexander McQueen Tribute. It seems appropriate that Kate grace the double cover issue as she was one of Alexander Muses.
Rihanna's on The Rolling Stones may 2011 issue in a pair of shorts so tiny and tight the looks sprayed on. Thank god her amazing fire red hair takes your eye away from them.

Katy Perry

With her latest single E.T #1 on the billboard chart, Katy Perry has really flourished into a style icon since the days she kissed girls. The clip for E.T, like its title suggests has an alienesque theme, also popular with Lady Gaga. While the looks is not something you would want to wear, it is stunning to look at.

She is one of the most beautiful artists of our time, with he trademark dark hair reminiscent of classic 50's pin up girls. A look that is timeless and glamorous. Over the years we have seen different variations of lengths and styles, but never to much of a change in color which is why her hair has remained shiny and healthy. Katy uses clip in extensions, or wigs to achieve contrasting colors like purple to her dark base.
